This is the first album I've recorded without a backing group or supporting musicians. I spent a lot of time exploring with new production techniques in an attempt to push my music in a new more modern direction. For me the stand out track is "Alive ?" a heavy post rock inspired song with lyrics playing around with the ideas of existentialism. Other notable tracks are "Cast Off", an upbeat tune with some interesting use of odd time signatures, "Different this Time" a folk-inspired acoustic track with a nice blending of guitars, voice and melodica.
